ANNE-LOUIS GIRODET - Canvas Prints
Anne-Louis Girodet-Trioson, usually known as Girodet, was a French painter from Montargis. His paintings belong to the Romanticism movement. Girodet's teacher was Jacques-Louis David, founder of the Neoclassical style of the late 18th century, yet Girodet would eventually deviate from the traditional Neoclassical approach. He was known for his use of diffused atmospheric light, theatrical movement, and other Romantic effects in his portraits and mythological scenes.
