ANTHONY VAN DYCK - Canvas Prints
Anthony van Dyck was a Flemish painter from Antwerp, Belgium. His paintings belong to the Baroque movement, and he was trained by Peter Paul Rubens. In addition to painting, Dyck was also interested in the technique of printmaking. The most famous painting made by Dyck is the portrait of Charles I of England and his family at court. This piece of art had a huge impact on portrait painting in England. His paintings represented biblical and mythological themes as well, and he was an outstanding illustrator and an important innovator in watercolor and etching. Interestingly, The Van Dyke beard is named after this artist.
