Camille Pissarro - Canvas Prints

CAMILLE PISSARRO - Canvas Prints

Camille Pissarro was a Danish-French painter who worked in the Impressionist and later Neo-Impressionist movements. He was an innovative and trusted teacher amongst his colleagues, including Georges Seurat and Vincent van Gogh, and encouraged them all to keep working towards their artistic visions. Pissarro’s paintings ranged from urban cityscapes or rural landscapes, to portraits of women, and peasants working on farms. What ties them all together so beautifully is Pissarro’s use of vibrant color and unique brush strokes. Notable works from Pissarro include “The Place du Havre, Paris,” “The Harvest, 1882,” and “Peasant Women Planting Stakes.” Pissarro died in 1903 and was said to have been the “father figure to the Impressionists.”
