CARL BLECHEN - Canvas Prints
Carl Blechen was a German painter from the Romantic period. He was obsessed with idealizing the world around him, using fantasy-like light sources in his paintings and dreamy color palettes. He painted both natural and urban landscapes and demonstrated meticulous details in each environment. Notable works from Blechen include “Building the Teufelsbrücke,” “View of Assisi,” and “The Interior of the Palm House on the Pfaueninsel Near Potsdam.” Blechen struggled from severe depression during his life, and he often struggled in his career because of this. Nevertheless, he is remembered as an idealist and one of the first European painters to present the early phase of Industrialization in his landscape paintings.
