FRA ANGELICO - Canvas Prints
Fra Angelico was born Guido di Pietro around 1395 in Florence, Italy. He was an Early Renaissance painter and completed several religious frescoes during his lifetime. His contribution to the arts was monumental, as he was beatified, or blessed, by Pope John Paul II in 1982. He was also declared Patron of Catholic Artists a few years after his beatification. Some of Angelico’s most famous and beloved works include “Annunciation,” “The San Marco Altarpiece,” The Deposition from the Cross,” and “The Transfiguration.”
