FREDERICK ARTHUR BRIDGMAN - Canvas Prints
Frederick Arthur Bridgman was an American artist from Tuskegee, Alabama. He was an Orientalist painter, best known for his paintings of Middle Eastern and African scenes. Bridgman was heavily influenced by academic painter, Jean-Léon Gérôme, however, his own painting style was less rigid and a bit more natural than most Academic art of this time. His works were distinguished by a brighter, softer color palette. Notable works from Bridgman include “An Interesting Game,” and “Funeral Rites of a Mummy on the Nile.”
