
HANS BALDUNG
Hans Baldung, called Hans Baldung Grien, was a German artist whose works belonged to both the German Renaissance and Mannerism movements. As a promising student of Albrecht Dürer, Baldung was skilled in painting, printmaking, engraving, and even stained glass design. He had a distinguished and influential style. Many of his works contain mythological motifs and symbols, such as witches and angels. Some of his most famous artworks include "Holy Family in the Room with Five Angels,” "Adam and Eve," and "Virgin and Child.”
