JACQUES-LOUIS DAVID - Canvas Prints
Jacques-Louis David was a French artist from Paris. He was a significant Neoclassical and historical painter who found inspiration from Greek and Roman themes. He suffered an injury to his face at a young age which caused him to become introverted. It was through painting that David found his artistic voice. David was also influenced by the chaos of the French Revolution during his time and many of his acclaimed works reflected this political energy. His masterpieces include the paintings “Napoleon Crossing the Alps,” “The Death of Marat,” and “Madame Récamier.”
