Jules-Alexandre Grun was a French artist from Paris. He was a Post-Impressionist painter who was exceptionally skilled in portraiture. Grun's main inspiration came from the high society women of the time and capturing their elegance, charm, and sensuality. He often portrayed these women laughing, in social gatherings, and in celebration. Grun's painting entitled “Dinner Party” is a standout piece featuring this theme.
