Konstantin Korovin was a Russian artist from Moscow. He was an innovative Impressionist painter with a strong focus on architecture. Korovin was known for his Impressionist, free-style urban cityscapes. He emphasized architectural elements with a light color palette and unique brushstrokes. Later while in Paris, Korovin would go on to experiment with portraiture. "Paris, Boulevard des Capucines,” "Yaroslavna's Lament," and "Old Moscow" are some of Korovin's most celebrated artworks.
