LUCAS CRANACH THE ELDER - Canvas Prints
Lucas Cranach the Elder was a German artist from Kronach. He was a painter during the German Renaissance in the 16th century and was also a skilled printmaker and engraver. Cranach was known for his portraiture of German nobility and leaders of the Protestant Reformation, like Martin Luther. Yet, he also had an interest in mythological subject matter and nude figure painting. "Christ as Savior with Martin Luther,” "Adam and Eve," and "Heracles and Omphale" are just some of his famous works.
