
PAUL DELAROCHE
Paul Delaroche was French painter from Paris. His works exemplify classic Romanticism style, while also exhibiting traits of Neoclassical and Academic painting. Delaroche was inspired by historical figures and events and painted these subjects to be factually accurate. Some of his dramatic historical paintings include “The Assassination of the Duke of Guise,” “Bonaparte Crossing the Alps,” and “Strafford Led to Execution.”
