SETH EASTMAN - Canvas Prints
Seth Eastman was an American artist from Brunswick, Maine. He was a West Point graduate, a soldier, a talented illustrator, and painter. Eastman famously illustrated scenes of Native American life. His wife, Mary, wrote a book based on Sioux culture in the Dakotas and featured his illustrations along with her studies. Eastman was also known for his paintings of American fortresses, such as Fort Knox, Fort Taylor, Fort Defiance, and many others. Some of his fortress landscapes have been hung in the meeting rooms of the United States House of Representatives.
