WILLARD METCALF - Canvas Prints
Willard Metcalf was an American artist from Lowell, Massachusetts. He was an Impressionist painter who specialized in genre-painting and landscapes. In his early career, Metcalf painted everyday life and peasant scenes. He later moved on to landscape painting and was inspired by water and maritime settings. “November Mist,” “Brook in March,” and “Gloucester Harbor Sun” are some of Metcalf’s prominent works from this time. Metcalf was also a member of the Art Students League and the American Watercolor Society.
