BENVENUTO TISI - Canvas Prints
Benvenuto Tisi, also known as Il Garofalo, was an Italian painter from Ferrara. His works belong to the Mannerism movement of the Late Renaissance. He was trained in the Roman and Venetian styles of color and painting and carried those skills to his later work creating frescos of religious scenes. Some of Tisi’s masterpieces include “Massacre of the Innocents” and “Betrayal of Christ.” Tisi worked as a painter, even after blindness, up until his death in 1559.
