FREDERICK SANDYS
Frederick Sandys was a British artist from Norwich, England. He was skilled in illustration and wood-engraving and was even associated with the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. However, he was best known for his Romanticist style paintings. Sandys’s works often feature strong female figures, either historical or mythological. “Queen Eleanor,” “Helen of Troy,” “Grace Rose,” and “Love’s Shadow” are just a few of his important paintings.
